Copper

(Coppershade image from dedece.com)

My sister has been looking for some light fittings to go over the large island bench in her kitchen. She mentioned over the weekend that she was thinking about some big mirrored pendants. I think these ones - the Tom Dixon Coppershade pendants - are totally stunning and the copper would suit the warm timbers, Tretford carpet and burnt orange leather sofa in her adjacent lounge area. They are available from Dedece Lighting in Sydney http://www.dedece.com/ Tom Dixon have an amazing range of light fittings, especially their striking feature pendants.

Living Etc.

UK magazine Living Etc. has long been one of my favourite residential interior design magazines, the homes it showcases are always gorgeous, quirky and filled with divine furniture and objects. I have used the mag a lot as inspiration for my private residential projects, the website http://www.livingetc.co.uk/ has an awesome gallery section where you can look through an archive of their featured houses broken down into sections such as kitchens, bathrooms, entry foyers, kids rooms etc... its fantastic!

I really should invest in a subscription... luckily there are lots of english migrants in my area so our local newsagency always has the latest issue! Which reminds me... might need a trip to the shops later on!!!

Beautiful Baby Blankets

1.
2. 3.
If you're looking for a great gift idea for a newborn or for a useful baby shower gift look no further than a baby blanket by David Fussenegger or for a more neutral look theres the Natures Purest Organic Bamboo bassinette blanket.

We now have 4 David Fussenegger blankets and we're onto our second Natures Purest blanket (we lost our first one in Rottnest... cry)

David Jones & Babyland both stock the Natures Purest range, or its also available from a few online stores. The Bamboo knitted blanket 60cm x 80cm (1.) is lightweight, yet really warm and perfect for both summer and winter, it feels divine against baby's super soft skin. www.naturespurest.co.uk
http://www.cradlerock.com.au/ have a huge range of Fussenegger... (2.) this one is my fave at the moment and I reckon this one (3.) would look fantastic on my couch!

A universe of spew

Audrey has been throwing up so much today :( eww.... but hey on the brightside at least it gives me an excuse for all the clothes she has!! As daughter No2 she has a wealth of hand-me-downs from daughter No1 and lots of great things that we were given as gifts when she was born (and a few things just for her that I've snuck into her wardrobe). One such present was this gorgeous little top sent from my uncle Mike and his fiance Jules in the UK. Its made by a brand called 'fabric of the universe' http://www.fabricoftheuniverse.co.uk/ and is the softest most beautiful organic cotton with such a sweet little birdy in my fave colour - watermelon pink!

Catch the Ferry

I was in Sydney last weekend for the Britney Spears concert with my sisters! We went for a spot of shopping at the glorious Westfield Bondi Junction! There was a beautiful installation 'pop up store' by Printdolls. I've been in love with these bus and ferry scrolls for ages now, I'd love one for my house to remind me of my past life as an interior student in Sydney! http://www.printdolls.com.au/
